About the Class
Thank you for your interest in the Thursday Drawing and Painting Class at Upper Sheringham. It is a friendly and informal art session for adults of all abilities, where the emphasis is on enjoyment, improvement, and sharing creative ideas within a supportive atmosphere.
Tuition covers the basics of traditional drawing and painting techniques for water based media. Assistance is offered with watercolours, gouache, acrylics, pen and ink, coloured pencils and most other drawing mediums.
Participants can influence the weekly programme by suggesting topics which may consist of: Themed activities, varied still life subjects, life drawing, working from reference, and local location work. Demonstrations by the tutor, and related photocopied hand-outs will be given as appropriate. This class could be helpful to anyone wishing to build a portfolio for further education.
Please supply all of your own art materials. There is a small resource for use initially, and assistance is offered with sources, qualities etc. when you decide to purchase your own.
Upper Sheringham Village Hall is an excellent heated workspace, with a kitchen and toilets. Refreshments are included in the cost of the class.
