About the classmaking-art-high-kelling

“Making Art” is an established art class for adults of all-abilities based at the charming village hall at High Kelling, near Holt.

Meeting every Tuesday morning, the classes are friendly & informal, with an emphasis on enjoyment, improvement & sharing creative ideas within a supportive atmosphere.

Art can be a great way to relax & this class will be centred around the needs of it’s students, who will help to determine the programme. Themed activities, varied still-life subjects, working from reference & local outdoor location work are all possibilities.

Tuition is for traditional drawing & painting techniques using water-based mediums. Assistance is offered with Watercolours, Gouache, Acrylics, Pen & Ink & most Drawing Mediums. Demonstrations by the tutor & related photocopied hand-outs will be given as appropriate.

Participants usually provide their own art materials. There is a small resource for use if required & the tutor can advise new members who wish to purchase their own, on appropriate sources/qualities etc.

High Kelling Village Hall offers on-site parking & a comfortable well-lit workspace, with excellent kitchen & toilet facilities. Refreshments are included in the cost of the class. Why not come & join us!
